Power, Control, and All-Court Pickleball Paddles
Power, control, and all-court are the three labels you'll see most often while shopping. Think of them as a quick way to describe how a paddle feels and which shots it helps.
Power paddles
A power paddle helps you create more ball speed with a shorter swing. You'll feel it on serves, drives, speed-ups, counters, and overheads. The ball usually comes off the face faster, so soft shots take a relaxed hand.

All-court paddles
All-court paddles blend usable power with a softer touch. They're a good fit for players who drive, dink, reset, and speed up throughout the same game.

Where skill level fits in
New players often enjoy a forgiving paddle. Players with compact swings may want extra pace right away. Experienced power hitters sometimes move toward softer paddles because they want more consistency. Your style tells us more than your rating alone.
